Rocky Credit Union is currently recruiting for a Financial Services Officer – 20 Month Maternity Leave Contract position.

The Position

• Support the existing internal Mutual Fund portfolio through ongoing sales and administrative support.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of registered product legislation.
• Completes and reviews mutual fund activities including new client accounts and trades and “know your client” forms to ensure regulatory compliance is met.
• Adherence to mutual funds compliance procedures; keeps current with changes in mutual fund regulations and compliance requirements.
• Process tax-deferral plan transactions, such as RRSP and RRIF deposits, withdrawals, and roll-overs; process transactions for LIFs, estates and solicitors’ term deposits; processes Registered Plans “estates”.
• Responds to inquiries on RRSPs, RESPs, LIFs, term deposits, RRIFs and group RRSPs; investigates and resolves errors or discrepancies; handles routine problems.
• Maintains related records and files; balances and reconciles assigned general ledger accounts; investigates and resolves discrepancies.

The Person

• Experience with Investments, RRSP, RESP’s LIFS and Estates.
• Mutual funds license is an asset
• Related post-secondary education
• Requires an understanding of investments and financial planning
• Time management and detailed oriented

• Salary commensurate with experience and in accordance with Rocky Credit Rewards & Motivation program.
